Outdoor Classrooms and Playgrounds
Classrooms and common areas are complemented by a Learning Support Centre, Science Laboratory and Home Economics facilities, a Multi-purpose Hall with stage and playing courts.
In 2018 when the College celebrated its 21st year of education welcomed the opening of the Performing Arts Centre complete with the 300+ seat Foundation Theatre, tuition rooms, Music Rooms and Dance Hall with mirror.
Two playing ovals (one with football and the other with soccer goals), outdoor Basket Ball and Tennis Courts and a Nature Play Area provide ample space for team games and College Carnivals.
In 2021 we were excited to introduce the "Son Seeker" to our Primary School Playground which is a life-sized nature play ship, built by our very own, Mr Chidlow! The Son Seeker is a great place for our younger students to play, but also has enough space on deck to accommodate a full class, so that teachers can bring their class outdoors to learn up high!
Our grounds are a wonderful place for outdoor classrooms. Science, Sport and HASS lessons can all be held on site and students experience lessons with nature.
All areas are linked by undercover walkways. Contact the Front Office for a tour of our beautiful Campus.
Please enjoy images of the newly-launched "Son Seeker" and the beautiful grounds and buildings we have here at FCC.
Nature Play Areas and Peaceful Gardens
In 2022, in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, the College received a grant to plant trees. We have been able to replace (and then some!) some trees that were destroyed in a major storm to our Primary Nature Play Area and also add additional trees to areas where our Senior School Students can study or sit peacefully.
These trees will benefit our students and visitors, by providing much needed shade in years to come and will benefit some native fauna by providing a food source all-year round.
In total, 36 native trees have been planted:
- Corymbia calophylla
- Eucalyptus erythrocorys
- Eucalyptus caesia
- Eucalyptus torquata
- Banksia littoralis
- Banksia menaiesil
On 1 December 2022 we commemorated the planting of the trees at a Whole College Assembly and following the assembly families enjoyed after-school fun and food.
